Who are we
Cartha started with a debugging session that went nowhere. An AI agent had done something inexplicable in production, and there was no way to answer the only question that mattered: what did it know when it made that call? So we built the tool we wished existed.
We're engineers first — a small team in Bengaluru, India. The product is a working API, two SDKs, and a dashboard: built in the open, tested against a live stack, and used by design partners running agents in production around the world.
What is our vision
Everyone is racing to give agents more autonomy — more tools, more memory, more decisions per minute. Almost nobody is building the accountability layer underneath: the record of what an agent knew, when it knew it, who it was allowed to share it with, and what it cost along the way.
That's Cartha — scoped memory agents can be held accountable to. Time-travel recall answers "what did the agent know last Tuesday?" deterministically. Erasure is real, budgets are hard ceilings rather than alerts, and a human stays in the loop where it matters.
